Ikea is really annoying me… I’ve been decorating my place with lamps to bring some nice, soft ambient lighting to my place to create a more homey feeling etc. I bought a couple floor lamps and some night table lamps. Low and behold, one of the night table lamps (Orgel) is missing a piece. So this past Saturday I went back to Ikea to exchange for another one. I get home all excited thinking I can finish the “lighting project” but alas, this new package also appears to be missing the same piece! This is getting ridiculous… I’m going to have to make a third trip to Ikea to get a lamp that has all it’s pieces. The gas is going to cost me more than this lamp! Argh…

While at Ikea on Saturday, I was leaving and walking through the parking lot and came upon this young Canadian-Asian couple trying to load four large and long packages into their truck. Of course the girl was not being much help and the guy wasn’t going to be able to do it himself, so I nicely offer them my help. They agree and in under 1 minute (working out helps!) the guy and I quickly load everything. As I was leaving, the guy offers this half-hearted “Thanks” that came across very ingenuine. Like, come on?! I was just being a good samaritan so cut the attitude buddy! Geez… people these days!
