It’s been a long work week. Another 15 hour work-shift yesterday and I have been trying to work on the introduction for my paper throughout this week and I’ll be working on it this coming long weekend as well. Stark contrast to the past when H and I would go away on our summer road trip during the BC Day long weekend. Very fond and good memories of those road trips though…

Soccer was a blast on Monday. Our team defeated the opposing team 2-1 in the last minute of play. Again we owned the possession throughout the game but failed to capture on many glorious opportunites. The only reason the other team scored is because our player had the ball accidently brush his arm in the 18 yard box and that resulted in a penalty shot. Tuesday was also a blast as I found a of group guys that play drop-in soccer every Tuesday evening just a block away from my place. I’ll be playing with them for the rest of this summer and hopefully get into better shape and improve my skillset for tryouts in the upcoming Winter Vancouver Metro Soccer League. Still trying to find a team though.

Found a new guitar instructor and I’ll be going to my “first” lesson this coming Sunday. I hope he will be just as good or better than my current, injured guitar teacher. Should be fun I hope.
